Haryana invites Japanese Companies to invest in ‘Global City’ project, others

  Already home to about Japanese 500 companies and 4000 expat communities, Haryana has invited more Japanese companies to invest in its futuristic project Global City coming up in Gurugram.  Haryana Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Singh Chautala extended the proposal to the Japanese community on Sunday while inaugurating the 70th Anniversary India-Japan Friendship Golf Cup in Gurugram on Sunday. Chautala said that business leaders from Japan would be the best people to understand this concept of Global City, which will be a green project coming in Gurugram on the live-work-relax concept.   Major Japanese conglomerates including Honda, Suzuki, Sumitomo, Japan Bank (JBIC), Mitsubishi, Canon, ANA airlines (All Nippon Airways),  Toyota, Mitsui, Toray, MOL Logistics, NKC, NTT India, and others have confirmed their participation in the 70th Anniversary India-Japan Friendship Golf Cup.   People in India would soon be able to enjoy the juicy and sumptuous taste of Japanese apples – also called Ringo as the Indian government has finally approved the import of apples from Japan. Till now, the import of Japanese apples into India is completely prohibited to check the entry of pests though Japan is allowed to export peaches and cherries to India. According to the Japanese Embassy and Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) officials, the Indian authorities approved import the  Japanese apples during Prime Minister Fumio Kishida’s visit to India in March this year.
